at Sea World.
Swaying palms, sandy bottom lagoons, and sparkling blue water. Sea World is a bucket list theme park adventure for the whole family. The premiere animal park on the Gold Coast with rides, animal exhibits and other attractions.
Besides the star attractions, food outlets play an important role in the theme parks ambience, with different outlets having their themes. My concept for the name and brand for one of these Sea World Cafés was Discovery Café. All about underwater discovery and showcasing the abundance of sea life living together harmoniously. Creating fun character illustrations that would appeal to all ages, showing sharks, polar bears, stingrays, starfish and dolphins.
Coca Cola being the major partner it was important to have their branding scattered throughout, and by creating depth and layers in the illustration, it allowed the eyes to be drawn to the designated frozen coke section, which was highlighted via the arctic polar bears.
Expanding on my character designs, the idea of Sea World Snacks was created. Branded snack trolleys that sold ice-cold Coca Cola, hot food, and icecreams.
Bombora Burger Bar was another Sea World Café made for the resort. Bombora means waves crashing over shallow sand bars. The concept behind the illustration was about surf, sun and fun. The customised typography shows energy and movement as if being on a ride sliding down a water slide.
